Mountain. A Memory Play.
Farewell, my good friend, farewell
In my heart, forever, you’ll stay.
I directed and produced the world premiere of Mountain: A Memory Play, an original, unpublished script developed by a student playwright, as part of the Black Box Series — a student-led initiative I founded to support new and experimental performance at The Ohio State University. From early dramaturgical support through final production, I guided the piece from draft to stage. The immersive, in-the-round staging invited audiences into the emotional core of the narrative, surrounding them with memory, absence, and intimacy. As both producer and director, I coordinated all production elements, mentored the student production team, and led the ensemble in shaping a poetic, spatially-driven experience that honored the play’s vulnerability and inventiveness.
