Educator. Scholar. Artist.

As an educator, I specialize in guiding students through the process of making bold, original work — from first spark to final performance. Whether in the rehearsal room, the classroom, or a black box theatre, I help emerging artists develop the tools to think critically, collaborate deeply, and tell stories that matter. At The Ohio State University, I’ve taught courses ranging from Playwriting and Theatre History to New Works Lab and Directing for the Stage, always with an emphasis on inquiry-led learning and creative risk-taking.

My teaching is deeply rooted in practice. I’ve directed world premieres like Mountain: A Memory Play and Explicit Content for Teens, mentoring student playwrights and directors through immersive, site-specific or in-the-round productions that explore memory, intimacy, and spatial storytelling. As the founder of the Black Box Series, I’ve built a platform for experimental performance and new work development — not just for students to perform, but to produce, dramaturg, and lead. I bring the same commitment to process and possibility to every project, equipping students to see themselves not only as performers, but as makers, producers, and innovators.

Whether I’m staging feminist rupture in Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again., designing interactive experiences at Alabaster, or coaching a student through their first monologue, I approach education as a collaborative act of world-building. My goal is to help students find their voices, hone their craft, and take creative ownership — in the classroom, onstage, and beyond.
